Description
A new life-size sculpture exclusively for the Otolaryngologist. The sculpture has captured the surgeon’s hands performing a sinus operation on a beautiful patient. The surgeon’s hands and instruments with a weight of approximately 15 pounds is being held up masterfully through the use of a unique environment which also surrounds and holds the patient. From the front view, it is if the viewer is looking at the surgeon’s hands in mid-air. Several acid patinas have been applied to give “Hands of Relief” a magnificent, realistic appearance. It is constructed of a 3 part black walnut base and verde marble. The base has a 20-degree viewing angle and turns 360 degrees on a lazy susan.
