Description
A sculpture that truly depicts the Christian faith in medicine. Six elements masterfully detailed in bronze reflecting Jesus Christ with his hand on the shoulder of the female surgeon while the surgeon’s index finger is pointing to the index finger of the patient. This is as Michaelangelo depicted God pointing and giving life to Adam in the mural on the ceiling of the Sestine Chapel in Rome. The five elements, Christ, Christ’s hand, Surgeon, Surgeon’s hand and the patient are skillfully and aesthetically surrounded in an element of a rich patina of dark reds.
