Description
A picture is worth a thousand words, and so it is with Ronadró’s latest bronze sculpture, Surgeon’s Prayer. The surgeon’s praying hands are engulfed in a heart-shaped halo which is topped by the face of an angel. The hand-applied acid patina is one that the critical eye will not only find appealing, but remarkable. The outside circumference of the halo is painstakingly done in a marble finish which must be seen to be fully appreciated. The hands are golden as to reflect the surgical gloves while the cuffs are in a beautiful blue/green. The inside of the halo and the face of the angel are patinaed in chestnut. It is complemented by a black walnut and verde base. Surgeon’s Prayer will no doubt become a classic collectible in the field of medicine.
